In 1947 Angelo Borando and his brothers rented the farm "Burlotta", which is property of the hospital "Ospedale Maggiore della Carità" of Novara.
Burlotta was the company where all the rice of the neighborhood was trated: the farm is equipped with an hydraulic whell with a big water jump, which is able to assure a high energy potential for rice treatment.

During the Fities, the paycheck of workers was partly constituted by rice. The workers usually used to ask that the rice was produced and treated at Burlotta, since its fields - argillouse and fertile - and its treatment structure was at that time aready excellent.

In 1986 Daniele Borando took the company in his hands, working towords a systematic improvement of rice fields by eliminating red rice. In 1997 he started the production of seeds.

During these last years the company was equipped with a research center for genetical improvement of rice and expanded its market horizons to Europe boundaries and beyond.
